Surgical Technology Specialist

A reputable healthcare facility is in search of a skilled Surgical Technology Specialist to enhance their surgical team. Below are the essential details:
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Work Environment: Hospital
Location: Fairbanks, AK
Work Schedule: Full-time, consisting of 4 ten-hour shifts weekly, with additional on-call responsibilities
Compensation: $28 - $44 per hour, commensurate with experience, alongside relocation support, temporary accommodation, and a commitment bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for surgical interventions effectively.
- Select and organize necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
- Verify case carts for accuracy in instruments and supplies.
- Address equipment malfunctions and perform minor adjustments or contact biomedical staff as needed.
- Review surgical schedules and proactively plan for upcoming procedures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist is required.
- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is mandatory (must be registered with the relevant State Regulatory Agency where applicable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program is highly preferred.
