Job Description

Liberty Staffing LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our team. As a leading provider of staffing solutions, we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients and candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset reconciliations, and expense allocations.
  • External Audits: Lead external audits and/or funds account management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Expense Analysis: Analyze expenses, including allocation of fund-related expenses for external fund administrators.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts, ensuring accurate financial projections.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Manage fixed asset records and system entries, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Operational Efficiency: Proactively identify operational efficiencies, processes, and control improvements, enhancing the overall financial management process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Finance to achieve team objectives and support ad-hoc projects as necessary.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Portfolio Company Valuations: Prepare quarterly portfolio company valuations and performance calculations, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Capital Calls and Distributions: Assist with capital calls and distributions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Cap Table Management: Manage cap tables and financing documents from investments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Forecasting and IRR Calculations: Assist with supporting forecasts, including fund IRR calculations, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business degree; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience at a fund management company or in corporate accounting.
  • Team Management: Experience managing teams or third-party providers, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Financial Management: Experience with cash management, AR, AP, fixed assets, expense reporting, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Financial Statement Audits: Experience with managing financial statement audits and tax preparation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
