Job Summary

The Quality Inspector - Level 3 is a highly skilled professional responsible for ensuring the quality of products and materials. This role requires extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods, as well as expertise in blueprint reading and manufacturing/inspection related math skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect fastener installation, sealant, raw material, simple machine parts, sheet metal parts, bushings, bearings, and standards, simple assemblies, outside processing (NDT, finishes, finish coatings, thermal processing, etc.)
  • Document FAI report
  • Document non-conformances
  • May occasionally perform special projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • L3: 3-6 years of related experience
  • Ability to be certified with Hardness and Eddy Current, Sealant, bushing and bearing installation, electrical bonding, and fastener installation.
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Experienced in reading and correctly interpreting complex blueprints and engineering requirements
  • Experience in applying shop math skills such as trigonometry, ability to calculate dimensions, set sine plate, etc.
  • Basic understanding of BWMS (Business Quality Management System) processes and procedures
  • Strong understanding of machine shop and aerospace assembly terminology and nomenclature
  • Completion of Bushing and Bearing installation certification/evaluation
  • Fully experienced with all basic and advanced manual inspection tools
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to read and understand technical and engineering material and communicate effectively with coworkers
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work alone or in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain a positive focus and earnest approach in meeting responsibilities and goals
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent education

This role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
