Position Overview: The Project Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction process and ensuring the quality of projects from inception to completion, handling budgets ranging from approximately $10,000 to $10 million. This role demands a professional representation of Wehr Constructors, Inc. while upholding our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and daily project activities.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness at the job site, collaborating with subcontractors.
  • Provide on-site training and supervision for employees.
  • Prepare and implement project requirements and schedules to meet inspection and permit standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Manage project costs and timelines, assisting in cost and schedule analysis.
  • Evaluate and compile job change orders, assessing their impact on cost, schedule, and scope.
  • Research and compile requests for information regarding design, schedule, and materials.
  • Determine daily manpower requirements for Wehr employees.
  • Review and enforce compliance with contract documents.
  • Document daily progress and communicate essential information to stakeholders.
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings to discuss quality control, safety, and scheduling.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage the on-site performance of Wehr employees.
  • Establish means and methods for daily construction activities.

Qualifications: A minimum of five years of experience in commercial construction or healthcare facilities management is required. Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings is essential.

Skills Required:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculating figures and amounts.
  • Problem-solving skills to address practical challenges.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and correspondence.

Certifications: ICRA, OSHA-30 (to be completed within the first year), First Aid/CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens are required.

Physical Demands: This role involves moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: The position may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and varying noise levels, depending on the project site.
