Responsibilities:


Deliver technical assistance and support for the effective utilization and upkeep of all PHS Bio-Medical Services' medical apparatus, including equipment utilized in emergency care (operating 24/7), devices for cardiac treatments such as EKG, doppler, cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and open-heart surgical instruments, as well as equipment for cardiac rehabilitation and exercise conditioning programs. This also encompasses apparatus for occupational and physical therapy, surgical techniques (including laser surgery, arthroscopy, and laparoscopic procedures), MRI machines, CT scanners, ultrasound devices, echo/vascular equipment, nuclear medicine apparatus, mammography machines, and equipment used in our intensive care unit.

Supervise the maintenance and repair of these systems and devices to ensure optimal functionality within our facility.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Ability to troubleshoot, interpret schematics, and/or blueprints.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Preferred experience of 0-1 years.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline is required.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills.
  • Assess the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of existing medical equipment and develop methodologies and procedures for testing biomedical devices and ensuring optimal performance standards.
  • Provide support, repairs, and maintenance for all aforementioned medical equipment utilized within the PHS Bio-Medical Services facility.
  • Oversee and engage in the design, fabrication, operation, application, and installation of new or updated medical equipment.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate physicians, healthcare managers, health educators, clinicians, and other staff on the proper use of all medical machinery and equipment for clinical applications.
  • Document feedback regarding the operation of all medical equipment and propose enhancements as necessary.
  • Maintain a database of correspondence with vendors and suppliers of PHS Bio-Medical Services' medical equipment to improve future interactions.
  • Stay informed about advancements in medical equipment to prepare the company for upcoming technological changes.
  • Develop training programs and guides to assist all healthcare staff in the correct utilization of machinery.
  • Manage the inventory of medical equipment and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for ordering replacements for defective components.
