About the Role

CNC Machinist I - Production Specialist

McWane, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist I - Production Specialist to join our team in Calera, AL. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines, setting up and machining products, and ensuring quality and productivity standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines (lathes, VTL, and mills) to produce high-quality products
  • Set up and machine products to meet company standards
  • Inspect parts to required specifications using precision measuring devices
  • Record production and maintain count cards
  • Perform additional cell responsibilities as required
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CNC Machinist role
  • Enrolled in or participating in a CNC Machining program
  • High school diploma/GED required; Associates or higher in a technical field preferred
  • Computer skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to meet and adhere to physical requirements and wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Work Environment

The CNC Machinist I - Production Specialist will work in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
