Job Summary:

USA Health is seeking a highly skilled EEG Technician I to join our Clinical Services team. As an EEG Technician I, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality patient hookups and ensure accurate tracings in all channels recorded for diagnostic procedures.
  • Use the international 10-20 system for all hookups, including marking and measuring.
  • Perform equipment and patient calibrations to ensure tracing accuracy.
  • Assess tests being performed to add necessary monitoring devices and/or montage changes to enhance abnormalities.
  • Provide preliminary technical impressions of all procedures performed.
  • Maintain close visual, auditory, and mental attention to provide detailed observation of clinical events.
  • Use equipment according to department protocol and ASET guidelines.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient logs, files, charting, worksheets, order entry, and order completion.
  • Use activation procedures as needed for each individual patient.
  • Perform cleaning, inventory control, stocking of equipment and supplies.
  • Obtain pertinent patient information from Clinical Information Systems using a PC.
  • Work with minimal supervision to safely perform patient care/essential functions.
  • Participate in new personnel orientation.
  • Abide by and enforce hospital policies and adhere to current Infection Control and Safety Standards.
  • Communicate and use appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team in person and via the telephone.
  • Respond to overhead pages.
  • Use proper body mechanics when moving and positioning patients with or without assistance for patient safety and when moving supplies and equipment necessary to perform essential functions.
  • Access and accurately maintain paper and electronic medical records.
  • Attend work regularly and promptly, and work schedule as defined, including overtime and call as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
