Summary of Duties:
As an Environmental Services Specialist, your primary role will be to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the hospital environment. You will be responsible for:
- Cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, guest areas, restrooms, hallways, food service zones, and other necessary locations.
- Upholding the appearance and hygiene of corridors, patient floors, and public spaces.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of walls, doors, baseboards, windows, stairwells, and elevator tracks adjacent to corridors on a daily basis.
- Removing any equipment left in corridors to facilitate the safe passage of patients and transporters.
- Operating and maintaining all cleaning equipment effectively.
- Communicating efficiently with hospital staff and supervisors.
- Demonstrating reliability and dependability in your role.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in environmental services within an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively is essential.
