Shift Availability:

  • 1st Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM

Compensation: $22.50 per hour

Role Purpose: The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of facilities and equipment. This role involves regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent significant breakdowns that could disrupt operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facilities and equipment to avert mechanical failures.
  • Replace worn components before they lead to major malfunctions.
  • Identify potential mechanical issues and recommend solutions to prevent further complications.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate fluid levels in machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect equipment parts for wear and tear, including belts and filters.
  • Oversee the maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Manage the replacement of filters and the changing of lubricants.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning for ongoing maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide insights on technological advancements that could enhance maintenance processes.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in all facility areas.
  • Support the maintenance team with installations and repairs as needed.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and materials used.
  • Report regularly to the supervisor on pending and completed tasks.
  • Act responsibly in the care of assigned property.
  • Report any ethical violations observed.
  • Propose opportunities for operational improvements and waste reduction.
  • Identify and report any environmental health and safety issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; two years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in preventive maintenance roles or related certifications; familiarity with air tools and both electrical and manual hand tools.

Skills and Abilities:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Proficient in identifying worn parts and potential machine issues.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Documentation required to verify authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
