Role Purpose: The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of the facilities and equipment. This role involves conducting regular inspections and maintenance to prevent significant breakdowns that could disrupt operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facilities and equipment to avert mechanical failures.
  • Replace worn components before they lead to significant operational issues.
  • Identify potential mechanical faults and recommend solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of fluids, oils, and additives in machinery.
  • Inspect equipment for wear and tear, including belts and filters.
  • Oversee the maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Manage the replacement of filters and the servicing of oil and grease.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial plans for ongoing maintenance needs.
  • Provide insights on technological advancements that can enhance preventive maintenance practices.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in all facility areas.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff for installations and repairs.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, materials used, and completed work.
  • Report regularly to the supervisor on the status of tasks.
  • Act responsibly as a custodian of the facility's property.
  • Report any ethical violations or safety concerns.
  • Propose continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Foster effective communication with the maintenance team and supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in preventive maintenance roles or equivalent certifications; proficiency with air tools and hand tools.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Capability to identify mechanical issues through visual and auditory inspections.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
