CME Group is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for supporting our network infrastructure, ensuring the ongoing operation of services to end users and customers, and maintaining the overall platform stability.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a first responder, helping to organize and control incident response.
- Monitor and manage our platforms to ensure internal SLAs, operational KPIs, and quality standards are met.
- Diagnose network and service issues, following them through to resolution.
- Analyze system and network performance using monitoring and graphical data.
- Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve incidents and service requests.
- Assess and prioritize faults, responding or escalating accordingly.
- Perform day-to-day technical operations activities, including systems monitoring, network and firewall troubleshooting, and logging/chasing faults with 3rd party suppliers and vendors.
- Proactively work on network compliance and conformance tasks.
- Maintain a positive attitude and high level of customer service at all times.
- Contribute to the overall development of operational systems and processes.
- Minimum 36 months experience in a fast-paced, enterprise NOC role.
- Experience maintaining a network using industry-standard monitoring and support tools.
- Experience with incident and change ticketing systems and wiki systems.
- Support experience of LAN and WAN technologies, including routing and switching, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Knowledge of security posture, load balancing, and VPN technologies.
- Understanding of wireless technologies and ISO and ITIL standards.
- Experience supporting or working with cloud technologies.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and communicate effectively.
- Troubleshooting network faults with assistance of packet capture tools.
- Understanding of multicast technologies and actively supported firewalls and load balancers.
- Supporting hybrid on-prem/cloud infrastructure, including GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Keen to expand and advance knowledge in multiple network infrastructure technologies.
