Job Summary

The Network Engineer III is a critical role within our team, responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our core network. This position requires a strong understanding of network architecture, design, and implementation, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network upgrades and improvements to enhance performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network issues and optimize network operations
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices for network design and implementation
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for critical network issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to ensure our network remains competitive and secure
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in planning or maintaining fixed wireless, FTTH, or routed IP networks
  • Bachelor's degree and CCNP Service Provider certification preferred
  • Extensive expertise in modern service provider data networks and technologies, including L2VPN, L3VPN, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, Segment Routing, SR-TE, and IPv6
  • Experience with optical transport network technologies, including 100G/400G Fiber, CWDM, DWDM, and RAMAN
  • Knowledgeable with Cisco and Ciena systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional travel to perform engineering walkouts, site surveys, and inspections. The employee must be able to sit for prolonged periods, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
