Matrix Providers is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to become part of our skilled team, delivering healthcare services to Military Service Members and their families.

Employment Type: Full-time, No nights, No weekends, 40 hours per week.
Compensation: Hourly - $22.50 per hour + $4.41 Health & Welfare
Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm

Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) Qualifications:

Education: Certificate.
Training: Completion of a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or an equivalent program, or a formal medical services training program in the United States Military.
Certification: Must be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician within the last two years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a comprehensive range of pharmacy technician tasks.
  • Handle pharmaceutical dispensing duties, including processing new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases.
  • Provide information consultation services, assisting with new and refill prescriptions, addressing patient inquiries, supporting physician requests, monitoring drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.
  • Conduct quality improvement activities, including drug storage inspections, reviewing expired supplies, and generating error and workload reports.
  • Manage supply processes, including placing orders, stocking shelves, maintaining inventory, and producing not-in-stock reports.
