Job Purpose

The primary mission of this role is to deliver compassionate and professional pre-hospital care to individuals who are ill or injured.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to both emergency and non-emergency situations, providing immediate and effective care to critically ill patients and ensuring safe transport to medical facilities.
  • Gather information from dispatch and navigate to the scene efficiently, considering traffic and weather conditions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop initial care plans based on established protocols.
  • Ensure the safety of all individuals on the scene, including crew members, patients, and bystanders.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols regarding patient privacy and care.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to company policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to stay current with medical protocols and practices.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Paramedic from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
  • Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operators Course within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and background checks.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, as well as performing physical tasks associated with emergency medical services.

Working Environment

The work environment may involve exposure to various conditions, including outdoor weather and emergency situations that can be stressful and unpredictable.
