Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Interview, hire, and train new team members, and develop and lead a team of maintenance technicians through diagnosing problems and providing resolutions.
  • Maintenance Operations: Provide expert knowledge and trouble-shooting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, and appliance repair.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials.
  • Scheduling: Establish a preventive maintenance schedule, make-ready schedule, and general work order schedule for the team.
  • Community Inspections: Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
  • Planning and Direction: Plan, assign, and direct the work of the maintenance team.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, personal vehicle, and auto insurance.
  • Location: Live within a 30-minute commute of the property.
  • Certifications: Have an HVAC/EPA/CFC certification.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Stellar communication and customer service skills.
  • Managerial Experience: 1 or more years of managerial experience, preferably at an apartment community.
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Background Check and Drug Screen: Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
