Team Dynamics
The Legal team at Alloy Therapeutics plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal support across various business units, including our in-house venture studio and its affiliates. Our legal operations are primarily managed internally, with external counsel engaged as necessary. The team collaborates with all levels of the organization, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into our business practices.

Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Legal team. This position will report directly to the Head of Legal and will require excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with colleagues and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing, drafting, and advising on various commercial contracts, including confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, service contracts, and materials transfer agreements.
  • Providing legal counsel during negotiations with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Participating in discussions related to business and corporate development as needed.
  • Managing company records and maintaining the document management system.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations for both customers and vendors.
  • Offering legal guidance to different business units to ensure adherence to applicable laws and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts relevant to the biotech industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal personnel.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, considering the company's risk profile.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced startup environment.
  • An active law license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
