Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate General Counsel to join our team at Global Partners. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting our business operations and driving growth through strategic contract negotiations and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including supply agreements, vendor and contractor agreements, technology agreements, and tenant leases.
  • Providing general legal and business advice to support day-to-day operations, contract interpretation and enforcement, expansion and development opportunities, and regulatory matters.
  • Coordinating transactional diligence, regulatory matters, and environmental compliance to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Collaborating with external counsel and other retained professionals to ensure effective handling of matters.

Requirements

  • Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation, with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a corporate, real estate, or transactional law firm and/or in-house.
  • Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and membership in the bar in one state, preferably Massachusetts.
  • Excellent written, oral, listening, and organizational skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with varied audiences.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deal with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and mitigating business and legal risks.
