Job Summary:

The Director Credit Risk Reporting is responsible for providing executive-level support related to the organization's credit risk. This role involves reporting and analytics for the management of Credit Risk, including key credit metrics, risk ratings, exposures, and concentrations.

The Director must prepare accurate and insightful reporting regarding the status and trends of the Bank's loan portfolio. Reports will be presented to Executive Leadership, as well as other internal and external stakeholders. The role is instrumental in supporting management decisions, including credit risk appetite and loan loss reserves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and reconcile various data elements required for accurate reporting.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in data quality.
  • Thoroughly analyze data to identify anomalies.
  • Integrate diverse and complex data sets from various sources.
  • Work collaboratively with other colleagues to understand data gaps and build improved data extracts and quality.
  • Utilize alternate systems to improve data quality and presentation, including Tableau, Alteryx, and/or Sageworks.
  • Understand and build any coding/development in the associated systems.
  • Compile and analyze key credit risk indicators.
  • Develop timely and accurate reports that are meaningful to drive business growth and make key decisions.
  • Provide clear conclusions and highlight emerging areas of risk.
  • Measure compliance with regulatory capital requirements and bank policies to reduce liability and risk-related issues to the bank.
  • Evaluate various loan portfolios or segments to identify trends and potential risks.
  • Synthesize and present results, observations, and recommendations to Executive leadership.
  • Reports should be comprehensive and allow for others to monitor and proactively manage critical trends in the portfolios.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics.
  • 5+ years of experience in banking or credit risk environment.
  • Strong Excel knowledge, including pivot tables, macros, and functions.
  • Thorough knowledge of data architecture, report construction, and merging multiple data sets.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Sageworks, and Business Objects.
  • Ability to learn and use new systems and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Research, analytical, interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence.
  • Strong self-start initiative.
  • Curious mindset for research.
  • Capable of adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior and integrity in everyday business conduct.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 USD to $140,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
