Executive Chef

Westgate Resorts is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at our Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all culinary operations, ensuring high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Create and implement menus that showcase our resort's culinary expertise and appeal to a diverse range of guests.
  • Train and support the culinary team in the finer points of cooking, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
  • Build a strong team culture, fostering a positive and productive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Perform general management duties, including budgeting, forecasting, and staff management.
  • Act as a role model for all health codes and sanitation practices, ensuring our resort meets the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
