Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Gas Equipment Company, A MAKEEN Energy Company. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for presenting and selling our associated product lines to prospects and existing customers in assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Service existing accounts, obtain orders, quote products, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential prospects.
  2. Develop and maintain a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, continually building customer relationships that support our Business Partner philosophy.
  3. Maintain personal contact by traveling throughout assigned territory, calling on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
  4. Learn and develop skills in using company software, including Epicor, MITS, and MS 365 Suite of products.
  5. Display or demonstrate product, using samples, classroom presentations, catalog, and emphasize salable features.
  6. Quote prices and work with credit department on terms, preparing sales contracts for orders obtained and developing skills with GEC order entry.
  7. Learn systems and product limitations, sizing pumps, meters, compressors, and applying them properly with direction.
  8. Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of Company's production and delivery schedules.
  9. Prepare reports of business activity and maintain weekly expense accounts.
  10. Manage accounts receivable to meet assigned goals monthly.
  11. Develop, maintain, and meet monthly specific performance goals as established with Manager.
  12. Determine and meet customer's training needs, conducting regular customer and employee training.
  13. Promote open, on-going communication with branch teams.
  14. Protect and maintain assigned Company assets.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Distribution or equivalent experience in Industrial Petrochemical industry sales or related field. You must be able to travel full-time, including long hours of driving, and have a valid driver's license and qualify for corporate auto insurance coverage. Additionally, you will need to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Work Environment

You will be working in an air-conditioned office and occasional work will be performed in non-air-conditioned environments. You will need to have adequate vision with or without correction for verifying written detail, be able to lift and carry 40lbs safely, and have eye/hand/feet coordination. You will also be required to travel up to 3-4 nights per week away from home.
