About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team at Silver Eagle Distributors Houston. As a Merchandiser, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products are displayed and stocked in a visually appealing and organized manner in grocery stores across the service territories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restock coolers, shelves, and displays in assigned accounts to maintain a high level of product visibility and availability.
  • Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf following product Code Date Policies to ensure that products are sold in a timely manner.
  • Assist and/or build displays with proper Point of Sale (P.O.S.) per Company policy to meet retailer needs and maximize product sales.
  • Ensure P.O.S. communicates the proper package and price to consumers to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Use equipment such as hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks to move product within an account in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Build customer relationships at the store level to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Continually strive to achieve the number one sales position in each account with proper P.O.S. to ensure Silver Eagle dominance.
  • Maintain knowledge of Silver Eagle's complete and growing portfolio of Brands and Packages to effectively promote and sell our products.
  • Submit daily merchandising mission activity via a digital platform and daily surveys for Non-Alcoholic products to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate daily objectives with Supervisors and other team members to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Manage time effectively to route daily work needs and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Practice 'Safety Always' by adhering to safe working practices, Company policies, rules, and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Work hours will vary daily due to business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors to support the team and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of general work experience is preferred, with prior grocery store or knowledge of the beverage market being a strong plus.
  • Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
  • Daily, in-person travel within the service territories of Silver Eagle required.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • A dependable personal vehicle to be used for work with proof of liability insurance.
  • Required to work Saturday, Sundays, and some holidays.
  • Able to handle alcohol and work within T.A.B.C. Guidelines.
  • Must have a smartphone with a camera and data capability.
Physical Requirements
  • This is a labor-intensive position that requires lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing between 20 – 50 lbs. per case and 160 lb. kegs in specialty accounts.
  • Merchandisers consistently bend, reach, and squat while moving and stocking products.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, dolly, and six-wheeler cart.
  • Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including high and low temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet, and snow.
  • Daylight, twilight, evening, and dark lighting conditions.
  • Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, and fumes.
