Position Overview:

Merchandising Specialists engage in daily operations within grocery establishments, which include but are not limited to constructing eye-catching displays, managing Point of Sale (P.O.S.) placements, organizing product space in accordance with T.A.B.C. regulations, pricing items, and ensuring proper product rotation as per company standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Restock coolers, shelves, and displays in designated accounts.
  • Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelves, adhering to product Code Date Policies.
  • Assist in building displays with appropriate P.O.S. to meet retailer requirements and enhance product sales.
  • Ensure P.O.S. effectively communicates the correct packaging and pricing to consumers.
  • Utilize equipment such as hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks to transport products within accounts.
  • Foster customer relationships at the store level.
  • Aim to achieve the top sales position in each account through effective P.O.S. strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company's expanding portfolio of brands and products.
  • Submit daily merchandising activity reports and surveys for Non-Alcoholic products.
  • Communicate daily objectives with supervisors and team members.
  • Manage time efficiently to fulfill daily work requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols by following safe working practices and reporting hazards.
  • Work hours may vary based on business needs.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: One year of general work experience, particularly in grocery or beverage sectors.
  • Military experience may substitute for some qualifications.
  • Daily in-person travel within service areas is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.
  • A reliable personal vehicle for work, along with proof of liability insurance, is required.
  • Availability to work weekends and some holidays is essential.
  • Ability to handle alcoholic beverages and comply with T.A.B.C. guidelines.
  • A smartphone with camera and data capabilities is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves physical labor, including lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing between 20-50 lbs. and 160 lb. kegs.
  • Merchandising Specialists frequently bend, reach, and squat while handling products.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, dolly, and six-wheeler cart is necessary.
  • Continuous standing and walking for up to 8 hours at a time is required.
  • Must be able to talk, hear, and see, including close and distance vision.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and environments is expected.
