Position Overview: Perimeter Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Administrative Support Specialist to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within our organization.

The ideal candidate will create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and clients, showcasing exceptional communication and customer service abilities. A foundational understanding of administrative processes and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment is essential.

Key Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Must be dependable, professional, and exhibit patience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Respond to all incoming calls courteously and direct them to the appropriate personnel promptly. Take messages for unavailable parties and ensure timely delivery. Assess the urgency of calls and guide callers to available staff when necessary.
  • Welcome and assist all visitors, ensuring they complete the Visitor Confidentiality Statement and Visitor Log.
  • Inform the charge nurse of visitors for residents, ensuring they are on the approved list.
  • Maintain and monitor office supply inventory, including organizing storage and assisting in supply orders.
  • Manage cash accounts accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and data entry.
  • Collaborate with the personnel clerk to assist with administrative tasks, filing, and data entry.
  • Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting concerns promptly.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through effective communication and teamwork with colleagues, supervisors, residents, families, and visitors, ensuring respect for diverse backgrounds and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. A positive attitude and the ability to serve as a role model for peers and youth are crucial.

Age Requirement:
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED is required. Experience in a children's services program or residential setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and effective communication skills with the public and staff.
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary.
  • Ability to manage cash accounts accurately.
  • Experience in inventory management and office supply distribution.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate various office equipment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver's license is required.
