This role as a Nurse Coordinator for Pre-Admission Services II involves being a vital member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, responsible for overseeing a designated group of patients during their pre-admission phase. This position emphasizes the application of the nursing process and the therapeutic use of self to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and coordinate comprehensive and safe care for all patients at the Multidisciplinary sites.
  • Demonstrate advanced problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills at a supervisory level.
  • Contribute to the development and operational success of the Multidisciplinary site.
  • Focus on addressing acute and immediate care needs in the surrounding areas, ensuring excellent customer service and clinical skills.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patients' medical histories, identifying potential risks or complications based on pre-existing conditions, allergies, medications, and previous surgeries.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year in Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) as a Registered Nurse; 5 years in a clinical specialty.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing.

License/Certification Requirements:

  • Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (NJ-RN) License.
  • Current New Jersey Basic Life Support (NJ-BLS) Certification.
  • Current New Jersey Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (NJ-ACLS) Certification.
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred, but not required.

Special Requirements:

  • Availability from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with some flexibility; no weekend or holiday shifts.
