  • Core hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with additional availability from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for those wishing to extend their schedule.
Essential Skills:
  • Prior experience as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is preferred
  • Strong understanding of speech and language therapy principles and practices
  • Experience with electronic records management is a plus
  • Ability to effectively engage with children of varying personalities and diagnoses to support their highest level of functioning in natural settings
  • Collaboration skills to work with other professionals on best practices for enhancing patient progress
  • Proactive in staying updated with clinical practices and demonstrating a commitment to professional growth
  • Professional demeanor and accountability for quality care in interactions with clients and their families
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Valid State of Florida (DOH) license
  • Willingness to enroll as an Early Steps provider
  • Must carry or be willing to obtain professional liability insurance ranging from $1M to $3M and secure a Certificate of Insurance (COI)

The Arc of South Florida is a nationally recognized agency that provides advocacy, programs, and services for individuals with disabilities. Established in 1958, the agency expanded its focus to include children in 1978. Currently, we serve children across multiple locations, offering a variety of programs such as Early Intervention, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, and after-school and summer camp services funded by The Children's Trust. The Arc operates year-round, delivering both educational and therapeutic services, including speech-language, occupational, and physical therapy.
