IT Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Combination I.T. Business Analyst/QA Analyst with a robust background in the Entertainment, Media, and Sports sectors. This role is essential in connecting IT teams with business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.
Location: Nashville, TN.
Contract Length: Initial contract of 8 months with potential for 6-month extensions and possible conversion to full-time employment.
Compensation: $80/hr. based on relevant experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in both Business Analysis and QA Testing is mandatory. Candidates lacking this dual experience will not be considered.
- A minimum of 8 years in business analysis and quality assurance roles within an Agile framework is required.
- Experience in the Entertainment, Media, or Sports industries is essential.
- Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and negotiation.
- Proven ability to manage user requirements while adhering to project timelines.
- Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of software development processes and quality assurance methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend and document their workflow processes, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Gather and document requirements to fulfill business needs through innovative technology solutions or new application features.
- Draft user stories in Jira and contribute to the development of test cases.
- Assess and quantify the potential business value of proposed modifications or enhancements.
- Support change management initiatives, including the creation and delivery of training content for new applications.
- Collaborate as part of a cross-functional Agile team, ensuring alignment with the minimum viable product definition.
- Maintain traceability of requirements to objectives and test cases.
Quality Assurance:
- Convert expected application processes into well-structured functional test cases, executing manual tests and documenting outcomes.
- Work alongside QA Engineers to compile regression and performance test cases, prioritizing automation efforts.
- Review products, logging and managing defects, errors, and compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor the resolution of product issues, ensuring final outputs meet functional requirements.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools, including Playwright for test automation.
- Participate in user acceptance testing to confirm that products meet specified requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during beta testing to identify and resolve issues, working closely with developers.
- Engage with users to troubleshoot errors and provide guidance on product usage.
- Conduct audits to uphold quality standards and develop quality assurance protocols for products and services.
- Partner with Product Owners to identify risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
