Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer Lead

Archetype Permanent Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Civil Engineer Lead to oversee all engineering operations. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in project management, client relations, and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Management: Oversee, direct, and lead the engineering staff, providing training and guidance. Manage all engineering work, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, both new and existing, to support business growth.
  • Project Development: Write and review project proposals, establishing clear objectives in collaboration with clients. Perform engineering calculations, designs, and drafting tasks across various disciplines. Consult with clients from initial site walk to project completion, including overseeing base mapping, concept planning, design development, and permitting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and submit regulatory permit applications while negotiating with local, state, and federal agencies. Attend meetings and public forums to advocate for projects, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for projects, ensuring financial objectives are met. Monitor project costs and communicate any budgetary concerns promptly to the client.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control processes and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations. Conduct site inspections and evaluations, preparing technical studies and reports as needed.
  • Team Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary teams, assigning tasks and managing resources effectively. Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and productivity.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer licensed in Maine.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years managing projects and personnel in the engineering field.
  • Skills: Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills; experience with client relationship management.
Benefits:
  • Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year.
  • Wages: Paid weekly, with profit sharing awarded quarterly after a 120-day probationary period.
  • Vacation: Pro-rated vacation time, 9 paid holidays, and 5 paid time off days per year.
