Role Responsibilities:

As a Marine Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing various types of marine lifting equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting mechanical inspections and maintenance on equipment such as Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes, Ship to Shore (STS) cranes, and other specialized machinery.
  • Performing on-site troubleshooting to identify and rectify equipment malfunctions using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Executing repairs in accordance with maintenance contracts and responding to emergency service calls as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, including OSHA and ANSI guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of service activities and customer interactions.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify potential service opportunities.

Qualifications:

Education: A two-year associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or a related field is preferred, along with relevant vocational training.

Experience: A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in mechanical and industrial repair is required.

Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work at heights are essential. Candidates must be willing to travel and work in various environments.
