Position Summary:

We are currently in search of a seasoned and strategic Senior Vice President of MEP Operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of diverse projects, ensuring their successful delivery while upholding rigorous quality standards, safety measures, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and clients to ascertain project objectives and requirements.
  • Formulate and implement MEP project strategies, schedules, and budgets, ensuring seamless integration with overall building design.
  • Evaluate and prepare MEP design proposals, drawings, and specifications to guarantee compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
  • Supervise MEP personnel during construction phases, ensuring adherence to approved plans and safety protocols.
  • Provide expert guidance in MEP engineering disciplines to support design initiatives and validate concepts through engineering analysis.
  • Establish and uphold quality control protocols for MEP design, conducting audits to ensure compliance and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers and designers, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to provide project updates, address inquiries, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster strong client relationships and collaborate with business development teams to identify new opportunities and secure engineering projects.
  • Stay informed on relevant engineering codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in managing MEP projects within the construction sector.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license is mandatory; advanced certifications (e.g., LEED, CEM, PMP) are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MEP design software and project management applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and managing multiple projects.
  • Business acumen and a proactive approach to business development initiatives.
