SUMMARY
This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing electrical and electronic systems, machinery, and controls under general supervision. The position supports all production and physical plant equipment within the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Execute all tasks safely and collaboratively, promptly reporting any hazardous conditions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Start and shut down equipment in line with operational requirements, company safety protocols, and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct work that necessitates a comprehensive understanding of electrical theory, statutory codes, and the operational principles of electrical equipment.
• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and schematics to install, repair, calibrate, service, and replace electronic devices and systems.
• Dismantle, inspect, and replace electrical machinery and defective electrical or mechanical components.
• Layout, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, including panels, breakers, and conduits.
• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and motors using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
• Troubleshoot and repair electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controls.
• Review work orders and communicate with equipment operators to identify equipment issues, whether electrical or mechanical.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to detect and prevent potential problems.
• Maintain equipment logs documenting performance issues, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
• Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to meet prescribed specifications.
• Promote and adhere to good safety practices, including the use of PPE and ensuring that guards and safety features are operational.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as recommended by manufacturers or based on historical data.
• Knowledge of A/C & D/C motor drives, installation, and start-up procedures.
• Familiarity with ARC FLASH & LOTO procedures as instructed by OSHA & NEC CODE.
• Troubleshoot PLCs & HMI Screens.
• Understanding of NEC code book and state electrical regulations.


Essential Functions:

• Troubleshoot control circuits, motors, motor control circuits, and other electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Install and maintain electrical/mechanical systems and controls.
• Read electrical blueprints and schematics while applying NEC requirements.
• Utilize appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
• Possess mechanical skills such as welding, rigging, gear changing, etc.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Minimum H.S. diploma or GED, along with an electrical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in electricity.

Experience / Abilities:
• Five (5) years of hands-on electrical technical experience, including a minimum of three years wiring automation machine control panels and PLCs.
• Familiarity with and experience in performing standard wiring per National Electrical Code and National Electrical Safety Code.
• Willingness to work some weekends, overtime, and participate in an on-call schedule.
• Ability to train others on electrical safety and related topics.

Computer skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred, along with basic data entry skills.
