Position Objective: The Automation Maintenance Specialist is tasked with overseeing, diagnosing, and repairing various assembly, subassembly, printing, and packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a tidy and secure workspace while reporting any hazardous conditions.
  • Utilize and interpret measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection tools effectively.
  • Conduct necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery.
  • Monitor product quality by identifying acceptable and unacceptable items in line with quality standards.
  • Engage in team collaborations and propose enhancements for operational efficiency.
  • Respond to machine alarms promptly, identifying and resolving root causes.
  • Adhere to all 5S principles.
  • Perform and document inspections in compliance with cGMP regulations.
  • Follow Lock Out/Tag Out protocols diligently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical issues across various machines.
  • Adjust assembly machinery for production operations as per departmental specifications.
  • Repair and maintain electrical controls on equipment, including servicing and testing based on electronic principles.
  • Assist in uploading programs to controls during program loss or CPU changes.
  • Repair robotic arms and controls, including replacing faulty components.
  • Conduct Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities as required.
  • Input maintenance work orders into the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (SAP).
  • Monitor processes, demonstrate awareness of issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Execute weekly, monthly, and as-needed preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform root cause analysis for safety, quality, and operational challenges.
  • Propose strategies to enhance efficiency and safety in the workplace.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Identify problems by observing equipment operations and troubleshooting effectively.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external technical support as necessary.
  • Restore malfunctioning equipment by repairing or adjusting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Manage downtime by coordinating repairs with the Maintenance Leader.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Maintenance Leader.
  • Keep an ongoing list of CMMS work orders with timelines for resolution.
  • Assist fellow maintenance personnel as required.
  • Optimize maintenance resources by utilizing equipment and supplies judiciously.
  • Ensure tasks are completed with technical precision and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
