Medical Assistant I

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant I to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a Medical Assistant I, you will provide clinical office support to physicians and surgeons, and perform patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to physicians and surgeons, including preparing patients for exams and procedures, taking vital signs, and assisting with patient care.
- Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and communicating with patients and families.
- Assist with laboratory and radiology procedures, including collecting and processing specimens and preparing patients for tests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, medications, and test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program from an approved school or equivalent training and experience preferred.
- Certified as Medical Assistant preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
