Job Summary

Caring Network is seeking a skilled Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Development Team, you will be responsible for securing major gifts to support the expansion of our ministry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a portfolio of mid and major donors, building lasting and meaningful relationships to increase their level of giving.
  • Identify and engage new donors, including individuals, churches, and organizations in DuPage and Kane counties, to grow our donor base.
  • Develop and implement strategies to secure major gifts, including face-to-face solicitations and personalized communications.
  • Provide leadership for events at our DuPage and Kane county clinics, including identifying, recruiting, and training volunteers.
  • Work collaboratively with the Development Team to coordinate fundraising activities and integrate planned giving to secure long-term sustainable giving.
Requirements
  • A committed Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and a participant in a local church.
  • A strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and enthusiasm for the mission and strategy of Caring Network.
  • 2-5 years of successful face-to-face major gift solicitations, with a proven record of relationship building, customer service skills, and successful gift solicitations.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree or CFRE a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire people to bring them in line with a vision and motivate them to reach goals.
