Position Overview
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is a pivotal Executive role tasked with overseeing all operational functions within the organization to guarantee quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
In partnership with the President, the COO sets forth goals and objectives for the organization.
The COO is responsible for developing strategies, crafting plans, organizing resources, and assessing performance to ensure that the operational and strategic aims of NorDx and MaineHealth are achieved.
The COO will effectively communicate goals and objectives across the organization and collaborate with Directors to ensure that daily operations align with these objectives.
Additionally, the COO will analyze organizational data, identify challenges, prioritize improvement opportunities, and facilitate necessary changes.
Required Qualifications
Education:
An advanced degree is essential, with a preference for a Master's in Business Administration.
Experience:
A background in healthcare management is mandatory, with a strong preference for laboratory management experience. A minimum of 5 years in Senior Management within a healthcare setting is required.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with various system platforms, is necessary.
The ability to navigate complex technical and management challenges, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently is crucial.
