Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Scanner Operator to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide leadership and technical support to MRI services, ensuring that services are provided within professional standards and with excellent customer service.
  • Remain self-motivated to increase your level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
  • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned.
  • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and other associates and peers.
  • Converse with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
Requirements
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use.
  • Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory.
  • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
