Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Operations to lead our Maine operations. This is a full-time position responsible for managing all aspects of our imaging centers, including joint venture relationships, day-to-day operations, strategic planning, staff management, budget management, business development, and growth initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence Management (75%)
  • Develop and implement programs, goals, and objectives to ensure quality care and operational excellence.
  • Analyze operations and recommend solutions to improve staffing, facility utilization, equipment, and supply management.
  • Establish a communication strategy and ensure timely communication to management and staff.
  • Manage the budget and make financial decisions for the market.
  • Own P&L performance for the market.
  • Monitor performance and profitability of services offered and take action to address issues and develop opportunities.
  • Develop and manage partner relationships with radiologist groups.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Market Success Managers to maintain strong relationships with centers' customer base.
  • Administer quality programs and meet or exceed key quality and productivity measures.
  • Support the payor contracting process for the market.
  • Partner with corporate and support center functional areas to ensure smooth integration and implementation of services.
  • Work with center leadership teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Initiate and participate in staff performance evaluations, compensation, and development.
  • Build, develop, and manage a sales and operations team.
  • Develop, coach, and provide training opportunities for direct reports.
  • Implement strategies to promote teamwork across departments and centers.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of new operations and sales leaders.
  • Maintain staff retention through effective retention strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical operating plans for the market.
Business Development (25%)
  • Lead growth initiatives for the market, including same-store growth, new product or service lines, or acquisition.
  • Monitor the external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
  • Coordinate the implementation of business plans and acquisition plans for all centers added or expanded within the market or market segments.
  • Ensure profitable growth and increase market share for existing operations through leadership of sales teams.
  • Develop long-range goals for the market that align with the strategic and growth plans of the company.
Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of demonstrated success in healthcare operations and management. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the provider, payor, and employer communities, as well as skills in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion.

The candidate should be able to work independently and in a team environment, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines. Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols, as well as HIPAA and safety guidelines, are also essential.

The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce results, as well as effectively supervise exempt and non-exempt staff. A strong understanding of financial reports, including budgetary guidelines and project expenditures, is also required.

Preferred qualifications include an MBA or MHA.

Working Conditions

The Senior Director of Operations will require the use of office equipment, such as computers, fax machines, telephones, and copiers. The position will also require computer-related activities for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to see, hear, speak, write, and key. National travel may be required, and flexibility in work schedule to accommodate physician schedules is necessary. Some lifting, bending, and stooping may also be required.
