The compensation for this role is set at: $15.00 per hour.

Watkins Glen International is seeking dedicated individuals for the position of Cleaner/Custodial Event Staff. This role encompasses various responsibilities essential for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the track facility, particularly during event preparations, track rentals, and on-site activities. This is a part-time, seasonal opportunity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing floor cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in buildings by managing waste disposal, sweeping, and surface cleaning.
  • Utilizing appropriate cleaning solutions to eliminate stains and ensure surfaces are spotless.
  • Washing windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable cleaning agents and tools.
  • Dusting furniture and scrubbing surfaces to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms using mops and disinfectants.
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance needs as they arise.
  • Collaborating positively with other facility staff to achieve optimal task completion.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a driving record check (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
