Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Animal handling and restraint, initial assessment of incoming patients, collection and evaluation of laboratory samples, and diagnostic imaging.
  • Management and nursing care for medical and hospitalized patients with varying health conditions.
  • Administration of medications and clear communication of treatment plans to pet owners.
  • Preparation for surgical procedures and assistance during operations, including monitoring anesthesia.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to tolerate various odors and sounds associated with a veterinary environment.
  • Exposure to potential bites, scratches, and animal waste.

Qualifications:

We seek candidates who possess:
  • A strong work ethic and a positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Timeliness and readiness to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Registered Veterinary Technician credentials, with 1+ years of experience preferred.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and precise communication abilities.
  • Competence in interpreting medical records and accurately documenting client histories.
  • Knowledge of preventative care, surgical techniques, and clinic operations.
  • Ability to safely and effectively restrain animals.
  • Proficiency in sample collection, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin samples.
  • Skills in laboratory sample processing and test setup.
  • Experience in capturing diagnostic radiographs, including dental imaging.
  • Expertise in anesthesia and surgical monitoring.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and skill enhancement.
  • Openness to constructive feedback to improve clinic efficiency.
