About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at Stellex Hammer Midco LLC. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient and effective acquisition of materials for our plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings, working capital, and quality
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and build long-term relationships
  • Oversee the creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Monitor and manage purchasing budgets, tracking expenditures and reporting on financial metrics
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities
  • Partner across the organization to understand purchasing needs
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouses to ensure optimal stock levels
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in Purchasing, procurement, or a similar role
  • At least 2 years of direct or indirect leadership experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, including expert level experience in Excel
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
  • Experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership attributes
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is required
  • Certification from a professional purchasing organization (e.g., C.P.M., C.P.S.M.) is a plus
