Telecommunications Sales Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales department and drive revenue growth through strategic planning, business development, and building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, strong leadership skills, and a track record of achieving sales targets.
The Director of Sales will work closely with the Director of Engineering and the Director of Operations to ensure seamless delivery of services and the successful execution of sales strategies. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy, leading and managing the sales team, identifying new business opportunities, and building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- Proven sales record, with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and grow revenue.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing a high-performing sales team.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications services, infrastructure, and industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and secure favorable terms for the company.
- Understanding of sales metrics, revenue management, and the financial implications of sales decisions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience selling telecommunications solutions such as broadband, fiber optics, or wireless networks.
- Knowledge of government and private sector procurement processes.
- Experience with sales in rural and underserved markets.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: Competitive based on experience
- Commission: Performance-based commission structure, directly tied to sales targets and company revenue growth.
