Position Objective
- The College Work Study student will assist with fundamental administrative tasks within a designated departmental area.
Key Responsibilities
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: The College Work Study student may be responsible for handling incoming calls, welcoming and guiding students and visitors, organizing and filing documents, entering data into systems, ensuring the department remains tidy and orderly, supporting projects or events, and performing various administrative errands.
PROFESSIONALISM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE: The College Work Study student is expected to exhibit professionalism and deliver exceptional customer service aligned with the university's values. They will foster positive working relationships, make informed decisions, and resolve issues effectively. Confidentiality, clear communication, accurate record-keeping, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace are essential. The student should also demonstrate adaptability, a willingness to learn, and proficiency with current technology.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills
- Must be a currently enrolled student at Harris-Stowe State University and eligible for a College Work Study position as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
- Proficiency in using computers and standard office equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be requested and assessed in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
