American Family Care (AFC) is recognized as a leading provider of primary and urgent care services throughout the United States, ensuring accessible healthcare seven days a week without the necessity for appointments. Our state-of-the-art facilities are dedicated to addressing sudden illnesses, injuries, occupational health needs, and workers' compensation cases. Each location is equipped with an in-house laboratory and x-ray capabilities.
AFC operates in collaboration with AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF), and this position will involve working alongside a franchised establishment, which may offer distinct responsibilities and benefits.

Overview
In this role, you will efficiently manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate insurance verification, payment collection, and meticulous maintenance of patient records while promoting a seamless patient experience and positive interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the clinic for daily operations by evaluating the facility, launching necessary applications, and organizing patient registration materials
  • Greet patients, provide initial paperwork, and collect insurance and identification information
  • Manage patient registrations, update records, verify insurance in a timely manner, and facilitate check-outs
  • Collect and oversee patient payments, resolve billing inquiries, and address patient questions effectively
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, guide patients on post-appointment procedures, and handle medical documentation requests
  • Ensure accuracy in reconciling daily patient charges (cash, checks, credit cards) with system reports
  • Conclude daily operations by finalizing documentation and submitting necessary reports
  • Implement cash control measures and protect financial assets
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation
  • Efficiently manage office supplies
  • Adhere to safety protocols, foster a secure work environment, and ensure operational efficiency through reliable attendance
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in medical administrative roles is preferred. Basic proficiency in computer operations, including the Microsoft Office suite, is essential. A strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail is crucial. Excellent customer service skills, a professional appearance, and clear communication abilities over the phone are necessary.
