Overview

The Patient Services Coordinator will efficiently handle patient check-ins and check-outs, including verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records while ensuring a smooth patient flow and fostering positive interactions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the clinic for daily operations by assessing the facility, launching necessary applications, and organizing patient registration materials
  • Greet patients, provide initial paperwork, and collect insurance and identification information
  • Manage patient registrations, update records, validate insurance promptly, and facilitate check-outs
  • Collect and oversee patient payments, resolve billing inquiries, and address patient questions effectively
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, guide patients on post-appointment procedures, and manage requests for medical documentation
  • Ensure accuracy in reconciling daily patient charges (cash, checks, credit cards) with system reports
  • Conclude daily operations by finalizing documentation and submitting necessary reports
  • Implement cash control processes and protect financial assets
  • Maintain thorough and precise documentation
  • Efficiently manage office supplies
  • Adhere to safety protocols, promote a secure work environment, and ensure operational efficiency through punctual attendance
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in medical administrative roles is preferred. Basic proficiency in computer operations, including the Microsoft Office suite, is necessary. A strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Exceptional customer service skills are a must, along with a professional appearance and clear communication abilities over the phone.
