Job Title: Senior Construction Materials Field Technician

ECS Limited is seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Construction Materials Field Technician to join our Richmond team. As a key member of our Field Services department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform observation, testing, and inspection of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
  • Conduct routine field tests using various methodologies and testing equipment, following industry standards and compliance.
  • Collect and analyze data, perform calculations, and document site observations for field work performed.
  • Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers, and keep supervisors informed of changing site conditions.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of related experience in construction materials testing.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current basic level certifications and willingness to obtain additional advanced certifications.
  • OSHA 10 certification (a plus).
  • Ability to lift 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong communication and math skills, with proficiency in electronic devices and MS Office.
