Position Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting various field tests on construction materials to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting field tests on materials such as soil, asphalt, masonry, and concrete.
  • Preparing comprehensive field reports that include all relevant test results and observations.
  • Performing laboratory analyses on soil and concrete samples and documenting the findings.
  • Assessing site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing informed recommendations.
  • Engaging with clients, contractors, and engineering staff to address construction-related inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred prior experience in construction or field testing.
  • Certifications such as ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL, or ICC in soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry are advantageous.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to manage multiple variables.
  • Competent in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to field and laboratory tests.
  • Physical capability to walk and stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds regularly.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug testing.
  • Valid driver's license required for travel to job sites.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe driving record and valid driver's license.
