Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Algorithm Developer to join our dynamic team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. This person will design, implement, and integrate high-level locomotion and manipulation algorithms in C++, simulate them in software, and bring them to life on a robot platform.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement state-of-the-art planning and control algorithms for humanoid robots
  • Characterize and improve the quality of robot locomotion and manipulation
  • Collaborate with Autonomy, Perception, and other teams to enable broad robot behaviors
  • Implement rigorous unit and integration testing of control algorithms and implementation
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate architecture and design documentation
  • Deliver reliable software through code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing

Requirements

  • Proven experience implementing state-of-the-art model-based or model-free controls of dynamic legged robots
  • Strong understanding of robotics fundamentals such as kinematics, dynamics, controls, and estimation
  • Proficient in modern C++ and object-oriented programming in a Linux development environment
  • Experience with common robotics and controls packages such as ROS, URDF, MuJoCo, and Eigen
  • Strong technical communication skills
