Position Overview

As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement and inventory processes within our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculating figures related to food inventories, orders, and associated costs.
  • Maintaining organized and accurate records to ensure proper filing and storage of reports and invoices.
  • Utilizing computer programs to post invoices and conduct inventory audits.
  • Completing requisition forms for necessary inventory and supplies.
  • Alerting management of low stock levels and verifying received inventory.
  • Reconciling shipping invoices with receiving reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries while managing vendor delivery issues.
  • Adhering to food safety and handling policies across all food-related operations.
  • Monitoring PAR levels for food items to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Safety and Compliance:
It is essential to report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management and complete necessary safety training and certifications.

Professional Conduct:
We expect you to follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.

Communication Skills:
You will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues, prepare and review documents accurately, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.

Team Collaboration:
Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with team members is vital. You will support the team in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to the concerns of others.

Physical Requirements:
As part of your role, you may need to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and navigate various work environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
License or Certification: None required.
