Stratton Mountain Child Care Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Care Supervisor to join our team at Stratton Mountain Resort. As a Child Care Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our child care facility, ensuring the development and safety of our young guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster open communication between parents and caregivers to ensure a seamless experience for our families.
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities that promote learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with the Child Care Manager to create and implement curriculum, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on state licensing regulations and ensure compliance in our child care center.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching staff on transitions, behavior management, and staff development.
  • Assist with scheduling, managing reservations, and contracts, ensuring a smooth operation of the child care center.
  • Oversee daily check-in and check-out, managing reservations as needed, and ensuring the center runs smoothly in the absence of the Child Care Manager.
  • Develop and implement staff professional development and orientation/policy training, ensuring our team is equipped to provide exceptional care.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education required; Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Teacher Associate or Supervisor in a licensed child care program; 1-2 years of supervision and staff management experience.
  • Knowledge of state legislation, regulation, and policies; First Aid & CPR Certified; knowledge of Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
