We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team at Stratton Mountain Resort. As a Child Care Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities- Child Care and Education: Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula, ensuring compliance with state regulations and standards.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster open communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on children's progress and milestones.
- Classroom Management: Supervise and guide Teacher Assistants and Classroom Aides, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all children.
- Professional Development: Complete 24 hours of approved professional development annually, staying up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of children's progress, including behavioral and cognitive assessments, and report any concerns or incidents to the Department of Child and Family Services.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 21 college credits in Early Education or a qualifying Associate's Degree.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare center or as an Early Elementary Educator.
- Certifications: First Aid and CPR certified.
- Skills: Strong communication, written and verbal, with knowledge of Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Competitive Compensation: $22.00/hour.
