Parks Maintenance Support Specialist - Parks Division

WORK HOURS: Flexible Part-Time Schedules available

PAY RATE: $18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • VALID UTAH DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIRED
  • Ability to read and write effectively.
  • Capable of performing various entry-level semi-skilled tasks related to the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of city parks, cemeteries, grounds, trails, and open spaces.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role operates under the general oversight of the Parks and Cemetery Manager and Area Maintenance Supervisor, with direct supervision from Parks Crew Leads and Maintenance Technicians. Responsibilities include assisting in the maintenance and installation of city parks, cemeteries, facility grounds, trails, and open spaces. The position also provides support for special events and recreational activities, along with other assigned duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Includes prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Must possess adequate vision and hearing capabilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds is required.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions is essential.

BACKGROUND CHECKS

Successful candidates must pass a criminal history background check.

DRIVING RECORD

The HR Office will obtain the driving record of the successful applicant.
